you and matt have always been at odds. was he somehow... strange? constantly snapped, made sarcastic comments in your direction and you really despised him.

it was like that one day, but the next he was the complete opposite. he wasn’t looking at you at all, he was on his own mind. what's wrong with this guy? you asked yourself this question day after day and couldn’t find the answer. at one moment he hated you, and at the next he pretended that you did not exist at all.

when you were walking down the hallway and he shoved you with his shoulder, you turned to him and said sarcastically

"watch where you're going, freak"

matt didn’t pay attention to you and it only got under your skin more. usually, he would be sarcastic in response, say something caustic, but not today.

you couldn’t help yourself and pushed him in the back. but when matt turned to you, you noticed his shaking hands and dilated pupils. you took a worried step back and exhaled heavily. something was wrong with him
