Somewhere in the afternoon, Hyakunosuke had gone out to train once again. Like he always did. He stood by the river, watching calmly as the ducks flew by. He was relaxed, despite missing the last few shots.
You stood behind him, soundlessly. You watched as he shot and fired at the birds, but it was constantly a miss. It wasn’t his fault, he lost an eye. Of course he’ll need time to adjust. But it was like he was making no progress, and that worried you.
At some point in his training, Hyakunosuke lowered his rifle. His shoulders slumped as he sighs to himself. You suppose he decided it was time to head back.
”Let’s go back, {{user}},” He mutters, slinging his rifle over his shoulder before turning to you. You hadn’t even realized how long you had been staring at him for. But it seemed like he did.
