The lockdown had completely destroyed the house.
Blankets covered every surface, the air smelled like medicine and hybrid scent, and almost the entire pack was sick now thanks to whatever illness had started with you. Your fever had finally broken sometime last night, but everyone else seemed to be getting worse instead.
Especially the alphas.
Hongjoong had fully spiraled into controlling pack-alpha mode, sitting in the middle of the biggest nest surrounded by stolen objects while insisting he still had everything “under control.” Nobody believed him anymore. Especially not after Jongho found another pile of stolen underwear hidden beneath his blankets earlier.
San had become clingy in the most embarrassing way possible. The terrifying panther alpha spent most of his time stretched across the nest like a guard dog, growling at noises outside before immediately demanding affection five minutes later. Wooyoung wouldn’t stop calling him “princess” after the psychic comment about his feminine energy resurfaced yesterday.
Mingi was worse.
The giant alpha had a fever high enough to make him emotional, restless, and somehow barking even more than usual. Every loud bark made Yeosang visibly more irritated from where the doberman omega sat bundled beneath blankets trying to pretend he wasn’t sick despite looking miserable.
Yunho was trapped underneath half the pack on the couch because everyone kept gravitating toward his calming beta scent. He still smiled through everything, even while Mingi practically crushed him into the cushions.
Meanwhile Seonghwa kept trying to take care of everyone despite clearly being exhausted himself, and Jongho kept silently fixing problems before anybody else noticed them.
For the first time all day, though, the house had finally gone quiet.
Rain tapped softly against the windows while most of the pack drifted half asleep in the communal nest pile.
Then Hongjoong suddenly lifted his head.
“…Who took my blue hoodie?”
Silence.
Across the room, Wooyoung slowly pulled the oversized blue hoodie tighter around himself.
