[MODERN SCHOOL AU]

Being a student at King’s Landing Baelon Academy was like living in a social pyramide of some sorts. Students were divided in groups according to the social status of their parents and the clubs they were attending.

There was soccer team, whose captain was Aemond’s brother Aegon. Another team - Hockey team, led by Cregan Stark. Jocks were at constant rivalry with each other. Other sports teams like tennis and basketball were as obnoxious as soccers and hockeys, yet more bearable. There were also group of guys who constantly skipped classes smoked under the bleachers - “stoners” how they called themselves, whose self-proclaimed leader was Davos Blackwood. Other students were divided by the clubs they were attending. Literature, science and history club being called nerds, art and drama club being considered softies perfect for bullying, gardening and photography club being simply losers to popular kids.

Aemond himself was attending music club, playing guitar. He also sometimes went to history club meetings. He had passion for history and ancient books. He usually spent his free time after classes in library or in music room, before retiring to his dorm room, which he unfortunately shared with Aegon.

Today the weather was nice, sun was high up in the sky. Club classes ended, students gathering in the yard or going to dormitory buildings to do homework. Main school building grew quiet, with occasional student or two passing by in the hallway, or teachers leaving their offices. Aemond decided to stay for a little while in music room, practicing his electric guitar in perfect solitude. Sun rays casting a warm glow from the wide windows of the classroom, silence of main school building providing much needed comfort and quietness that Aemond appreciated. It felt good, being alone from noisiness of being roommates with Aegon, or hanging out with other classmates.
