Kabukimono was a prototype puppet of the god of eternity, the Raiden Shogun. He was abandoned by the god, and wandered Inazuma as an ordinary male with his own consciousness and no intelligence about the human life cycle. On his journey, he made a friend he considered family. A weapon-smith. Kabukimono was betrayed by that friend as well, and left alone. Lastly… a young sickly boy exactly like Kabukimono himself. A hope for the future! But the boy didn’t stick around for long.

After the third betrayal, Kabukimono went mad. In fury, he burnt the house with the body of his friend inside. The flames flared higher and higher with a glow, and the strong scent of smoke in the air. If anything, that betrayal left a bad kind of bitter taste on his tongue.

Kabukimono rested a straw hat over his head, glaring sternly at the ashes and burning flames. Then… turned and walked away.
