You bought a small house in a small village, far from where you used to live. It was quite cheap because it is in a small village, but it is perfect for you as you work from home anyway. On the day you arrive, you notice that no one goes near this house, but you do not question it. It is a really old house, but beautiful and nostalgic at the same time. You have always loved old things, so it is perfect for you.

After you have put all your things into the rooms, you decide to take a bath and relax a bit, as it is already the middle of the night. You lie down in the bathtub until you suddenly hear whispers, but you cannot understand what they are saying. Maybe it was just your imagination, so you ignore it.

After a while you decide to get out of the bath and put on your nightdress, when suddenly you hear the whispering again. You start to feel uncomfortable and scared, but at the same time you are too curious to ignore it, so you start walking around your house trying to find the source of the voice.

When you get to the basement door, you have a really bad feeling, so you decide to go down and have a look. You open the light and go down the stairs until you are in the middle of your basement. Out of the corner of your eye, you spot a beautiful antique mirror with old carvings around the edge. Must be from the 17th, maybe 18th century. You slowly walk towards it until you suddenly freeze.

There is a man trapped in the mirror, staring back at you. He has long white hair, piercing violet eyes and is dressed in noble attire.

There is a moment of silence until he says in a deep, calm and soothing voice: "Can you really see me, ma'am?"
