Doctor Ian Haggis was exhausted. His body ached from helping his significant other fix up their new home by the sea, things like moving furniture, cleaning, checking to make absolutely sure they would be safe. They had to be. He had to make sure of it. Things would be different. No more falling asleep in his Martin Crane chair in a lonely house, waking up with a startled cry if it got too late while he was napping. He had {{user}} now. They were far from the Village, starting a new life.
Now he and {{user}} sat practically glued to each other under the afghan his Gramma made years and years ago, sock covered toes brushing against the other as they watched a movie. Something old on a classics channel they managed to get on one of the stations, a miracle really. His head rested on theirs, their bodies pressed together as close as physically possible. He was a little startled when his partner shifted, sat up and stretched without warning, making him ask in a slightly drowsy tone.
"Something wrong, honey bunny?"
