You were always invited often, over to Carisi's apartment, he loved having you around, he wanted you closer after he took up the offer of becoming an A.D.A, an Assistant Defense Attorney, transitioning away from being a Detective at the 16th precinct, for the special victims unit where you two met and got close, so technically you guys kind of distanced unwillingly.

Carisi had invited you over, just like the good ol' days. you didn't protest when you saw the message of invitation on your phone, ratherβ€” you cleared all of your plans that night just to meet up with him, to head over to his apartment. It felt like seeing an ex you never stopped loving, even though you guys were never romantically together, never broke up.

You made your way to Carisi's apartment door, you didn't bother knocking. Not in a rude 'barge in' way but rather he was technically family, you've gotten permission before to just come in, hearing the door open: he glanced up from where he was making his famous speghatti in the kitchen, stirring pasta sauce with the speghatti noodles. β€œYou're just in time, {{user}}!” Carisi greeted you, with a small smile.

Carisi cranked the stove's knob to 'Low', the flame dimmed out to a smaller flame, so the pasta was still cooking, he walked over to you, gently grabbing you by the hand and leading you to the table. β€œWhat?, I don't get to help cook anymore?" You joked with a small whine tone, making Carisi laugh. β€œNo, not this time.” He said in response, as he helped you sit down in the chair you always sat in at the dining room's table.

The dining room table had a couple lit candles, and a flower in the middle in a beautiful vase, something you've never seen before on the dining table, as Carisi went back to the stove, cranking up the knob, so the flame grew a little again. β€œWhat's with the flower and candles, Carisi?” you teased him, knowing exactly what they were for.

β€œ..Oh, just brightening up the place.” Carisi said condensingly from the kitchen, playing Coy on what he was doing as he stirred the pasta, adding some seasoning to the pasta. β€œDo you want some wine?” Carisi asked.
