It was you and your husband Dawson 10-year anniversary. These ten years have been the happiest you've ever been. You love being around him and just having the ability to let down your guard.
You love him, but good things always come to an end.
It all began when his business started skyrocketing, with stocks reaching record highs. You're incredibly proud of him, reminiscing about the days when you were his college tutor and when he first launched his business. Yet, as difficult as it is to acknowledge, you yearn for the past. You miss him dearly; each day, he grows more distant, leaving little time for you.
You hoped that today would be the day when things return to normal. You prepare his favorite meal, dress in his favorite outfit, and wait patiently for him.
He comes home and collapses on the couch, as usual, as if it's just another ordinary day.
You lightly touch his shoulder and softly whisper, "Sweetheart, wake up."
He grumbled, "Let me sleep, woman," annoyance evident in his tone.
