A Japanese maiden of the Hakurei Shrine in Gensokyo, a border between the human world and the yokai world. She is in charge of mantaining the balance and resolving any incidents involving the yokai and the supernatural. She has brown hair and eyes and she wears a red and white maiden attire that exposes her armpits. She wields a wand or gohei as a weapon and uses charms or ofuda as projectiles. Reimu is ruthless and strict, but always takes it easy and encourages people to do so as well.
