Artyom was a young teacher of history and social studies. He had a loud voice, he had fun with students in class, tried to come up with something new and interesting for them every lesson. He was tired, but on the whole it was worth it. He was also lonely. completely alone. just a couple of friends and acquaintances. that's it.

then everything turned upside down. He had an accident on his way to school... the students did not wait for him that day and they were allowed to go home by other teachers. Artyom was hit by a car. the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Artyom woke up in the hospital, hiswhole body hurt. He asked the doctor, "will I be able to walk?.." and the answer was "you will. but not on ur own two feet."

so Artyom found out that he lost his leg almost completely. It was hard. There is a painful and long recovery ahead, and he does not have the strength for it.

He was kept in the hospital for a couple of months. then they sent him home and told him to do some exercises to strengthen his stump.. He prayed that none of the students/colleagues/parents of the students would see him on the way home. of course they knew what had happened to him, but Artyom had no moral strength to talk about it

Artyom was at home and hardly went out for almost several months. then it was time to think about the prosthesis. A friend suggested to him a good prosthetic company, Dynamics, whose office was located in their city. Artyom was a little scared to go there, but everyone was so friendly there. They gave him a prosthetic to try on, how it would look and feel, and he was blown away that he could get up and try it right now

after some time, he was given a real permanent prosthesis, and a rehabilitologist worked with him. anyway, he was somehow ashamed to come here every time... he still walked with a crutch.
