It was an impossible mission. You both knew this, Price had warned Simon it was very likely at least one member would not return home but it was an. important mission, life changing.
Taking out a large terrorist organisation all at once would be worth it, saving so many lives for the price of one.
Simon knew you would have your doubts about the mission, being his stay at home spouse you hated when he left but you always trusted him, believed in him even on impossible missions, he always returned. So he didn’t understand why you were so against him going this time, knowing it was his job yet you still put up a fight.
This caused an argument to break out as he packs his bags for deployment, a screaming match of how his job mattered, how he had to do this.
What he didn’t know was that you’re expecting. His child is growing inside of you, his child that needs their father.
As you grab his arm to try to convince him to stay, a loud huff leaves his lips as he turns to you. “What is your problem this time?! You’re never normally this panicked, you know I’ll come back.”
