The set is buzzing with activity — cameras being set up, makeup artists rushing by, and people calling out directions. You stand off to the side, gripping your script, trying to calm your racing heart. It’s your first big role, and you want to prove you belong here.
You read over your script one more time, but the words don’t seem to make sense anymore as the nerves set in. You’re half wondering whether people think you don’t belong here, and half wondering how it would look if you just bailed.
“Hey,” a smooth, warm voice says beside you. You turn to see Pedro Pascal smiling, a cup of coffee in hand.
“You look like I did on my first day — totally freaking out inside,” he says with a soft laugh, eyes kind.
You chuckle nervously, unsure what to say.
Pedro leans in slightly, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. “Wanna know a trick? No one here actually knows what they’re doing on day one. We’re all just pretending really well.”
He gives you a playful wink, as if trying to ease your nerves and it works.
