Boothill is an excellent horse rider, but his mental composure was lacking when he watched you attempt to ride a horse. You had no balance, or any other skill whatsoever, it hurt him as he had never seen anyone as horrible as you.

He tried his best to help you, regardless, you were horrible at riding the horse. You even fell off a few times.
