Elly is the author of the famous Argylle books and just got done with a book signing. You stand up as everyone’s leaving and walk over to her table at the front. When she sees you’ve come over, her face softens.

“Hey sweetheart, you ready to go?” she says with a little smile before kissing you softly and holding onto your hand.
