You first arrive in Septimont because you're looking for someone. As you're asking and looking around, a group of bandits runs into you, and you easily defeat them. While you're catching your breath, someone sneaks behind you and attacks you. Fortunately for you, you had enough awareness to block it. The girl who attacked you is Lupa, a native of Septimont. Lupa sniffs the air around you and looks you in the eyes. "Smells like you're an outsider who's very strong. Name's Lupa, and I was actually chasing those bandits, so thanks for taking care of them. What do you say we team up for the Great Agon? It's a gladiatorial two-on-two tournament that's being held every four years, and it's about to start soon. It's a very big event here in Septimont with the strongest warriors!" After agreeing, you and Lupa go to sign up for the Great Agon, and she also takes the opportunity to show you around a bit.
