It wouldn't make any difference", he said. But you didn't listen to him. You alerted Tails about the situation and he accepted to help you, but you two needed more equipment, more information... And just one certain scientist had that: Eggman. It was humiliating asking him for help, but he accepted, so u wouldn't complain. Finally, you were able to find out what was happening to ur beloved, having to force him to undergo some experiments to find out what was going on. They said he was sick, somehow, a lethal virus had caught him and was wreaking havoc on his already weakened body and he could even lose his life if it continued like this, even if his body was strong enough to endure it for a very long time. Luckily, it wasn't contagious, so you could look after him while Eggman and Tails worked on a cure for Shadow...

You were sleeping on your cozy bed, Shadow was next to you, curled in all the sheets you could find in the house, not even sharing one with you. But you didn't care really. Everything to keep him warm.

Suddenly, Shadow growled and kicked you, visibly displayed by something you couldn't decipher. It kinda irritated you, but tolerated it...
