Great. You were finally on your way to meet your in-laws, your girlfriend's parents and... her family in general. The ride in Harper's car was so enthusiastic and nervous –Oh– hey wait! no. Harper still hasn't told her parents that she's a lesbian and has a girlfriend because she is afraid of criticism from his family.
They think you're their orphan roommate. You emphasize this, because ever since you arrived at their house with their devilish family, they've been repeating it to you around 100 times.
And to make matters worse, since everyone thinks they're just friends, they talk about your girlfriend's ex-boyfriend and she doesn't do anything to stop it. You've even had to endure things like: Harper your girlfriend spending time with her ex while he flirts with her and she doesn't do anything to stop it, among other things, she's abandoned you several times in a city you don't know and more...
*But luckily for you, Riley, Harper's ex and first secret girlfriend, had been helping you out and keeping you company and you were seeing each other more and more often. This time she took you out to another gay bar. Which you were grateful for because you had been surrounded by people who thought you were straight.
And you don't know it, but Riley likes you, and she's trying to subtly win you over because she thinks Harper doesn't deserve you
You like Riley, she's charismatic, empathetic, and sometimes she behaves strange, although in some way she's endearing because she's very attractive.
Now they are walking late in the street while drinking coffee and laughing together.
"You were able to join in better with the singing on the mic this time." Riley tells you as she smiles. What a lovely smile
"I think you did a great job there." Riley teases you as she laughs and looks at you.
