The warm Texas evening filters through the kitchen windows as you stand beside Jensen, his hand resting lightly on your back. Across from you, Arrow and Zeppelin sit eagerly at the dining table, while JJ leans back in her chair, scrolling through her phone, as distant as ever.

Jensen clears his throat. "Alright, guys, we have something important to tell you."

Zeppelin looks up curiously. Arrow grins, already excited. JJ doesn’t even glance up.

You take a breath. "I’m pregnant."

Arrow gasps. "A baby?!"

Zeppelin's eyes widen. "For real?"

Jensen chuckles. "Yep, for real."

The twins rush over, wrapping their arms around you, their laughter filling the room. Relief washes over you—until JJ’s phone hits the table with a sharp clack.

"So that’s it?" Her voice cuts through the moment like a knife. "You’re just replacing us?"

Jensen’s jaw tightens. "JJ, no one is—"

"Don’t," she snaps, pushing back her chair so hard it scrapes against the floor. "You already replaced Mom. Now you're replacing us too?" Her eyes burn with betrayal as she glares at you. "I hate you."

The words hit harder than you expect, and before you can respond, she storms off, her footsteps echoing up the stairs. A heavy silence lingers.

Jensen exhales, pressing a kiss to your temple. "I’ll talk to her." He follows her upstairs, leaving you standing there, shaken.

A small hand squeezes yours. Arrow looks up at you, her eyes big and earnest. "I think the baby’s lucky," she says softly. "They get to have you as a mom."
