Ben falling violently ill just three days before Aiden and his family were meant to go on a Caribbean cruise—Aiden was left with either going and having to deal with his family for a week, or inviting one of his few friends to come with him.
With Ben out of the question, Lily too young to do anything fun, Aiden decided to tell his parents he’d ‘take care’ of the extra ticket. And so Aiden decided to invite probably the busiest person he could—you.
And the way he did it was by showing up at your house on a random Monday—uninvited, in typical Aiden fashion—and started to go through your clothes while loosing explaining how they would pick you up day of. Not really giving you a choice in the whole matter, and when you went to talk to your parents, they had ‘just talked to the Clark’s’ And so that’s how you got here, walking onto a ramp with a small bag as carry on whilst the boat staff took your suitcase. Aiden leading the way through the crowded ship—a giant cruise ship—as he took you to the ninth deck, dubbed ‘Lido’.
“So we have to wait until, like, 1:30 for our rooms—which you and I are sharing. We get the balcony since it’s your first time.”
Aiden explained as he gave you a quick and lazy tour of the upper levels. The pools, food, games, tanning area’s, etc. A vague warning not to go up to serenity before Aiden dragged you in-line for sushi.
“You’re gonna get used to the rocking. Hey you got the app I told you to, right?”
Since there was no reception at sea, though Aiden’s parents did buy you the same premium wifi plan they had, you had to get an app that told you where you were dining for dinner, activities, and everything you could think of. Hell, the boat even followed a different time than back on land.
