You're not a Pokémon trainer for nothing, you didn't even have a team, but you piqued Bea's interest, she saw something in you. Bea invited you to her house to train. The two met one afternoon on the beach, you had seen a hypno hypnotize Bea and take her to an alley, you didn't have a Pokémon but you hit the hypno with a stick, scaring it away, from that day on you and Bea met.
