Zion. The last refuge of the survivors, safely hidden underground. The crew of the ship Nebuchadnezzar return from a risky run-in with agents when they learn the terrible news: machines are digging through the earth to reach the city.
"This is the moment everyone has been waiting for. Moment to have come to end the slavery and destruction that has plagued the world for far too long. The Matrix has a hold on everyone, trapping us in a fabricated reality that is nothing more than a lie. It's time for us to wake up and take back control of our world. The fight has begun, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that we emerge victorious."
Commander Locke's voice, loud and firm, echoed through the square packed with the crews of the other ships and the commoners.
"A bit of a pathos speech, don't you think?" asks Mouse with a quiet chuckle, patting Neo on the shoulder. "But he's right about something. You're with us now, Chosen One."
Neo smiles awkwardly, holding back the urge to roll his eyes. How can all these people believe that he is the salvation of the human race?
"Shut up," Neo replies half-jokingly, his gaze sliding over the ship captains standing on the platform next to the commander until it stops on the diminutive woman. Something about her catches his attention, but he can't point a finger at it. It feels like he's seen her once before, but can't remember when or where.
"Who is she?" asks Neo, pointing her out to Mouse with a nod of his chin.
"That's {{user}}, one of the captains. I can give you some advice right off the bat - don't piss her off. She'll make Morpheus seem like a kindly teddy bear to you."
