Katsuki Bakugo

    You and Katsuki were partners.

Teacher’s orders. You didn’t mind. It was just an assignment — not like he’d actually want you in his room otherwise.

You sat cross-legged on his floor, your back propped against his bed. Textbooks open. Pencil in hand. But your eyelids… so heavy. The words blurred. You hadn’t really slept — not since last night.

Your boyfriend dropped the glass. Made you eat it. Told you to swallow. You did, because you had to. You got sick. The shards cut on the way out too. Now your throat felt like barbed wire, and your head was stuffed with static.

    You blinked. Blinked again. Heavy.

Katsuki’s voice cut through the fuzz. “HEY. IDIOT.” You barely flinched before his hand smacked the back of your head. Not hard — for him — but it made your skull ring.

“You’re supposed to be working too! Stop slacking off!”

You forced your eyes open. You wanted to answer. “Sorry. I’m trying. Please don’t hit me.” But Katsuki wouldn’t hit you again — he wasn’t him.

You swallowed. It burned. Your pencil scratched nonsense on the page.

You couldn’t tell him. Not yet.

You just had to stay awake.
