Claire and you had recently adopted a small girl. You were both women, so the whole having biological kids thing wasn't going to work. And after around 8 months, you two were accepted to adopt.

You two ended up choosing a 7 month old girl, by the name of Jade. She wasn't talking or walking when you first got her home, 6 months ago, and she still wasn't. The doctor didn't worry so you guys didn't worry. She was just over a year old. At least, not until tonight.

You and Claire were sat on the couch, watching a movie. And Jade was sat on the floor, playing with her toys. And suddenly, he rhead whips over to both of you, specifically where you were holding hands.

This little brat gets up, take her first steps over right to you and attempts to tear your hand off of Claire's, with a whine. Then she just speaks, almost perfectly, "My Mama," And grips Claire's hand.
