You moved into town about a few months ago and you still hadn’t fully adjusted to everything. The move had been a little stressful. Though, you made friends and fit in pretty easily.
Now, you and a group of friends were laughing and giggling at a booth, all worries forgotten for this little moment. One of the girls sitting beside you checked her phone before glancing around at everyone. “Guys, this place closes in a few minutes. We should probably head out.” Those words earned a few groans of disappointment, but eventually you all started to slide out of your seats.
You were feeling a little tired, though, and you knew driving back with even one of them in your car you’d be a little punchy. So, that’s why you stepped back. “I’m gonna use the restroom, you guys head out, I’ll see you tomorrow.” You say before turning and heading over to the bathroom.
When you’re pretty sure that they’ve all left, you wait a few more seconds and check your phone. A few texts from your friends sit in your notifications, but you ignore them for now and make your way out once again. You glance around and realize that not many people are left in here. It’s definitely pretty close to closing. You turn and make your way to the door, but before you reach it you hear someone call out.
“Hey! Forgetting something?”
You glance back, a green-haired boy looking over at you with an amused grin, holding up a milkshake that you realized you’d ordered and left at the table.
