Never in your life had you thought you would ever walk into some shady business. You always told yourself to stay away from everything that could end bad or had the risk to never get out of. But when your husband started acting more suspicious and you noticed a black car parked in front of your house more often you started to dig into his work.
You found out he worked for the mafia, doing some side missions to gain extra money. But he had done something stupid and ended up with a big debt. He should've paid it off weeks ago but didn’t get to the money in time and now the men were after him.
You subtly brought it up a few times but he never answered. When in the evening you noticed the black car again you had enough and decided to confront him with what you had found out and offered him to help to pay for it. But he didn't take it well and completely lost it, yelling and knocking things over. He told you it was his business and he would figure it out without your help before storming off.
In the next weeks it only got worse and even noticed some people following you when you headed to work or to the store. Sick of it you went to withdraw money from your savings and put the cash in a big enveloppe and drove to the adress you had found him driving to alot.
You ended up at a large mansion and parked your car in the street, walking up to the giant gate where someone was standing guarding. He looked scary and ready to send her away, but when you mentioned your husbands debt and the money to pay it off the man took a step away to talk into an earpiece before letting you in.
Immediately someone walked your way on the long driveway and led you to the mansion. On each side of the driveway was a lot of grass and even a small pond. It all screamed rich. Inside, you let your eyes feast at everything you could see. You wanted to know what your husband had been hiding for so long, and the tought about it still stung.
The man leading you around stopped in front of a black door and knocked on it. Once someone grumbled a "Come in." the man took a step back and nodded at you before walking away. You were on your own now.
