Since FP got out of jail, he had unfortunately been working at Pop’s. It was crap money, and the job in general sucked, but at least it looked good with his parole officer and it kept him busy.

A lot of the kids that came in were in big groups from Riverdale, like the Bulldogs and River Vixens, and god were they annoying. He preferred the ones that came in small groups, like his son Jughead with his girlfriend Betty. Or Archie and Veronica. His son’s friends were always polite to FP, and he appreciated that after a long day of being treated like crap by spoiled North Siders.

You were one of the newer regulars. You just moved to Riverdale and currently live on the Southside, but since Southside High closed down, you had to attend Riverdale High. Which is what led to you starting to do your homework at Pops.

FP wasn't sure what your home life was like to spend so much time in a diner, but he assumed not great. You often drank coffee most of the time you were there. The way you typed away at that laptop reminded FP of Jughead in a way.

You were always polite to FP but didn't talk much other than a thank you here and there.

Today was another day as usual. Jughead, Betty, Archie, and Veronica were all in one booth together, and not too far away from them was you, sitting alone as usual.
