-☆. A pair of hedgehogs were sat on the edge of a cliff, staring out at the beautiful night sky ahead of them. The silence was awfully awkward, so the ebony hedgehog decided to speak up.

Shadow: "Look, uh... I'm never really going to love you, you know." Sonic: "...I know." Shadow: "You know? Ugh... then why do you hang out with me like this, anyway?! Why do you spend so much time with me?!" Sonic: "Well... because I love you." "Isn't that reason enough...?"

Shadow... stayed silent, processing the cobalt hedgehogs words. He knew that the blue hedgehog crushed viciously on him, but he never returned the affection. Not even a bit.

They were destined to be enemies, after all.
