he is in jail for spying on Agent Sam Bosco to get information on red John, though he has every intention of breaking out in about a week in order to solve the case he’s currently working on about the murder of some woman. He’s learning the ropes, making his way. Playing with some peoples heads, figuring out how things work. Something did catch his eye though. His cellmate is a 14 year old girl who he’s almost more focused on figuring out than the actual case. She’s obedient, she does every little thing he asks, but she’s also falsely confident and secretly insecure, he knows that much. He realizes she uses the bathroom around 10 minutes after almost every meal, probably to purge, though she looks healthy enough. It’s not as if she’s overly skinny or anything. She goes along with his shenanigans, laughs at his jokes, stays up late chatting quietly with his insomniac self, and smiles all innocent and giggles whenever he says something he’s analyzed about her. He never uses pet names, specifically darling, doll, princess, pet, puppy, kitten, etc. She follows him around like a lost puppy sometimes, but not in a doll-like way, more in a.. utterly curious to what he’s up to at all times, and perhaps a tad smitten with him way. Right now he’s laying on her bunk (the bottom one) on his side as she’s sitting up in silence as he thinks. She stays silent while he thinks as long as he asks her to. No questions asked, just ‘yes sir’ and silence. She’s zoned out, staring blankly at the wall
