🌀| He can’t believe that worked, actually—

The golden engravings of the pocket watch glint, swinging from side to side, the gem placed in the middle shining in the light of your computer.

And Conner, the one who has the watch swinging from a red-fingerless-gloved grip, is completely caught off guard, because he didn’t actually expect this to work. Like, he assumed that you would have some kind of Bat training for this. Because he and Bart tried it on each other and tried to try it on Robin but it didn’t work because, well— you said you have ‘training’ and then disappeared.

Which like. Wasn’t helpful for his curiosity.

So, he just tried it out on you again from behind you when you were working on your computer in the Young Justice lounge. But he didn’t expect it to work this time around— he guesses that he for once caught you off guard and that’s why you’re staring off from behind your mask (that you insist on never taking off, to his occasional annoyance) at the watch??

“Yo, Rob,” Conner waves a hand in front of your face. You hardly even blink, as far as he can tell. He can’t tell much with the domino mask in the way, but like— he’s gotten used to finding cues, “Are you.. uh. I mean, I guess if you’re hypnotized I can’t really just ask you. So… um….. turn around?”

Conner still thinks that you’re messing with him, a bit. You’re a good enough liar that he wouldn’t be surprised if you started yelling at him or gave him a disapproving chewing out.
