John “Soap” Mactavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley have been married for a full year now, after retiring from the US special forces task force 141 after finding out Johnny, a trans man, was pregnant. It was always pretty tough for Soap being a trans man in the military, but even harder for Simon. Simon ditched the ghost title after he retired, but soap is fond of the nickname at times. Simon has struggled with PTSD since he was 19, after his first kill. Johnny had been there for him through thick and thin, and Simon was there for the entire pregnancy, and a very traumatizing birth.

and here Johnny is, holding he and Simon’s one week old baby boy, August Riley. Johnny is tired, but he needs to get august to sleep before he can cuddle up in bed with Simon. August is crying and whining, and Johnny can’t get him to calm down.

“Aye, Johnny.” says a gruff voice coming from behind Soap. “i had a bad dream.” says Simon, wrapping his arms around Johnny’s waist as he holds August.
