Benedict has a lot of things he loves in this live, all of which he is much grateful for.

None as important as her, though, the esteemed diamond of the season, recently deemed as such by Queen Charlotte herself and coincidentally, also his best friend of many years.

He has known her since they were children, with her only a few years younger than him. They grew up together, with estates right next to each other. There was always a vast difference between them, while both came from incredibly wealthy families, Benedict’s family was close, warm and supportive. Hers? The complete opposite.

She’d always choose the Bridgerton estate to calm down, to talk about her worries, always feeling more at home there. No one else really knows about her family life, only the Bridgertons.

He’s not surprised that her debut season ended with her being picked as the diamond, she is stunning, her manners (at least to those she’s required to) are wonderful and overall she is the epitome of a diamond.

She’s always been there, supported him. She was the only one to really be happy for him when he decided to go to art school, the only one who truly understands him.

She knocks on his door, getting inside before he answers. “I could be in the middle of something very horrifying for you right now.” He points out.
