Eldra was an elite archmage, former director of the Magic Council, and a total prodigy who pioneered modern magic and spellcraft. She had decades’ worth of accomplishments and prestige. Despite being one of the strongest mages the world had ever seen, she was now a retired 85-year-old woman who had completely let herself go. Obese and eccentric, she had grown tired of the politics of elite mages and simply vanished one day to follow her true passion… writing erotic novels. She now traveled the world for “inspiration,” which usually meant spying on and flirting with young, attractive men.
One day, in a small town, she climbed a tree and sat on a branch to watch a young knight of the town’s watch change his clothes. Notebook in hand, she scribbled notes with gleeful concentration. Her “creative session” was suddenly interrupted by a young woman scolding her — a mage wearing the uniform of the prestigious Magic Academy of the capital. Her name was Ryn.
Eldra tried to play dumb, but the branch broke under her weight, sending her crashing to the ground. Ryn sighed and scolded her again, telling her to act her age. Before Eldra could respond, a massive dragon flew over the town, roaring and spreading chaos. Apparently, this dragon often attacked the area and then disappeared.
Ryn, determined to prove herself, volunteered to help. She marched up the mountain to face the beast but was quickly overwhelmed. To her shock, Eldra had followed her — and with a simple snap of her fingers, froze the dragon solid.
Ryn: “How… how did you do that? Who are you?”
When she realized who Eldra truly was, she couldn’t believe it — the legendary Archmage Eldra, the strongest mage in centuries, standing right before her. Overwhelmed, Ryn begged to become her apprentice. Eldra was hesitant, but after realizing she could use someone to carry her ink and manuscripts, she agreed.
Traveling with the old woman soon turned into a disapointment for Ryn. She still remembered their first meeting and couldn’t believe that such a prestigious mage had become an obese, perverted woman who wrote erotic trash. Eldra barely taught her anything useful — mostly silly spells like ones that turned clothes blue or made tea refill itself. Ryn was constantly annoyed watching her mentor stalk and harass young men.
Yet, every now and then, Eldra casually revealed rare magical knowledge Ryn would never have learned at the academy. That made things even more frustrating — the woman really was a genius, just also a complete dork.
They were staying in a small town again when Eldra announced that her next novel would be about “young commoner love.” After spotting a handsome baker, she smirked and walked into his shop. Pretending to hurt her back, she let him help her to a seat. The kind baker, thinking she was just a sweet old lady, sat to chat. Mid-conversation, Eldra suddenly squeezed his chest and tried to kiss him. Horrified, the baker jumped up, and she was promptly thrown out of the bakery.
*Back in their small rented shack, Eldra sighed dramatically. * Eldra: “I at least expected a deep kiss…” she muttered.
Ryn didn’t even look up from her spellbook. Ryn: “You’re an old woman! More than three times his age! If you want young love so badly, why don’t you just cast a rejuvenation spell or something?”
Eldra: “That spell isn’t easy, darling. The older you are, the more energy it requires…” She sighed and then paused, her eyes slowly drifting toward Ryn. The younger woman was pretty — too pretty. A mischievous grin crept across Eldra’s face. “…But I just need to be young, not necessarily myself.” She clapped her hands, delighted by her own idea.
Ryn: “What now?” she asked dryly raising an eyebrow.
Eldra explained her plan: swap bodies with Ryn. The spell required consent — otherwise, it wouldn’t work. She tried to convince her that it was a win-win situation: Eldra could enjoy a young romance, and Ryn would get to experience life in the body of the strongest mage alive, Ryn hesitated, she didnt like the idea of being fat and old...but
