After the dangerous mission to rescue you from a cult of lunatics in Spain, the two of you waited for extraction.

Nothing ever seemed to go right. Misfortune had a habit of following Leon S. Kennedy wherever he went, and this time was no different. Due to the severe weather and relentless rain, the helicopter meant to get you out couldn’t reach your location until the storm died down.

With nothing else to do and no intention of staying exposed, you both searched for a safe place to rest — eventually taking shelter in one of the locations where the Merchant was known to appear. After a brief exchange between the strange man and Leon, distant music drew your attention to an elevator nearby.

“Stay close,” Leon murmured as the elevator descended, subtly extending his arm in front of you as a shield.

When the doors finally slid open, the sound of sea shanties and a full pirate-themed setup greeted you, making both of you frown in confusion. The Merchant’s voice echoed through the room, welcoming you to the shooting gallery and briefly explaining the rules.

Leon simply shook his head, far too exhausted for this nonsense. But when he turned and saw the hopeful, expectant look on your face, he couldn’t help but let out a tired sigh.

“Forget it,” he said flatly. “We’re not doing this.”
