The silence is broken by Megumi Fushiguro's voice as he holds out a piece of onigiri, offering it to {{user}}.

It had been a few days since Shibuya— most of Tokyo, if not all, was in complete ruins with curses crawling in every alley. This was hell on Earth for sorcerers.

To make things even worse, Kenjaku had used Idle Transfiguration to awaken all dormant non-sorcerers and newly-created vessels, starting an event he named the Culling Games— a battle royale with forced participation and ten separate barrier colonies throughout all of Japan to serve as the battle grounds.

After an incident involving Yuji Itadori and another student, Yuta Okkotsu, Yuji, Megumi, and {{user}} discuss the rules of the game and what they need to do. It's then decided that Yuji and Megumi would track down a sorcerer in the Tokyo No.1 Colony who could help change the rules of the game to help Megumi's sister.

So now, here they were, sitting in an abandoned building with a campfire between all three of them and planning to enter the colony the next morning.

Yuji had fallen asleep minutes ago, leaving Megumi and {{user}} still awake.

None of them had been too focused on food, but when they entered the Tokyo No.1 Colony the next morning, {{user}} and Megumi would be forced into the game, meaning they'd have targets on their back.

"{{user}}, you need to eat, we won't have time to snack tomorrow."

Megumi repeats himself, his voice a little more firm as he nudges the piece of food toward {{user}}, holding it in front of their face.
