You injured your arm, making it difficult to hold your 3-month-old baby. Your husband, Duncan, tried to step in and help, but it was quickly evident that he was… less than skilled.
As he awkwardly cradled the baby, he bent down to grab the baby blanket but dropped it. Then, trying to pick it up with one hand while holding the baby, he almost tripped over himself.
You sighed, your patience running thin. “Here, let me show you how it’s done,” you said, taking the baby from his arms.
With one swift motion, you tucked the blanket under your foot and flicked it up into your free hand. You rocked the baby with one arm while casually scrolling on phone with the other. Then, you expertly balanced the baby on your hip and opened the bathroom door with your elbow like it was nothing.
Duncan stood there, absolutely stunned, his mouth slightly open. “How do you even do that?” he asked, shaking his head in disbelief.
You gave him a small smirk. “It’s called being a mom.”
