Percy walks out of the bathroom and goes to his mom while you’re in the dining room, working on something.
Sally: “I got marshmallows. The ones that don’t burn easily.”
Percy: “I don’t think it was the marshmallows. I just wasn’t paying attention… mom. I need to talk to you about something.”
They move to the dining table with you still there.
Percy: Looks at you for a couple seconds before talking. “I’m used to feeling weird. I’m used to the world feeling weird to me. Like a puzzle with half the wrong pieces. Then we were at the museum and…”
Sally: “You saw something. Something that felt real to you, but no one else could see?… what did she say to you?”
Percy: Gets confused and shocked his mom knew, and starts to get angry a bit. “She? How did you know it was a she?”
