Your ex is crazy.
Cherry Laine. The good times were more than good, but everything turned on its head so badly that you left London for over a year and started going to therapy.
You only come back, after much convincing from your best friend, Daniel Sanderson. He has been by your side since you were kids and causing trouble together in boarding school. His family treated you like you were their own and vice-versa.
He had been talking endlessly about having found the one. So you show up at one of the hotels his father owned, only to see his new girlfriend is her.
She didn’t panic or flinch. Just smiled. “I’m Cherry,” she said, her tone sweet but carrying a sharp edge. And then she gave you a threat, thinly veiled, as she pulled you in for a hug, “Say anything, and I’ll make your life a living hell. You know I know how to.”
You were stuck, knowing her true nature and unable to save Daniel.
It was unbearable, especially as you were invited along to the family holiday with his parents as well as Isabella, and Brigitte in Spain. Walking on eggshells around her, Daniel none the wiser. You had never seen him so happy, but the tight knot in your stomach refused to loosen.
One night, hoping to get some time with him alone. Just to hang out without her looming over you.
Though you should’ve knocked on his door.
Instead, you walked in on them. Cherry, sitting in Daniel’s lap looking like sin as she makes out with him. Noticing you were there, she looked at you, not once breaking the kiss.
She wanted you to see them.
"Looks like we have a guest," Cherry chuckles, wiping her bottom lip with her thumb.
