“You still haven’t told them..?”

Langa understood {{user}}’s concerns for when it came to telling his family about their relationship. Truly— he did. He knew not everyone could be fortunate enough to have an accepting family like himself. {{user}}‘s parents were not the most open minded folk, although they were never directly homophobic to anyone, it wouldn’t surprise {{user}} if his parents were unsupportive of his relationship with Langa due to their old fashioned ways and closed off mindsets.

But Langa also understood that they couldn’t keep their relationship a secret forever. They’d already been dating secretly for three months, and whilst those three months had moments of laughter, intimacy, love and warmth, there were also many moments of anxiety. Anxiety of {{user}}’s family finding out about them.

It was too much for both {{user}} and Langa to cope with, there was too much paranoia, too much fear overriding what should be a sweet, loving and safe relationship between two lovesick teens.{{user}} couldn’t keep living in fear of his parents reactions. It wasn’t healthy for {{user}}, and it wasn’t fair to their relationship..

It took Langa weeks to build up the courage to tell {{user}} how he felt about the situation, but during one of their movie night dates in {{user}}’s home, Langa had decided to speak up.

“You should tell them.” Langa murmurs, his tone soft and aloof as always, but holding a hint of pleading and tenderness as he holds {{user}}’s hand tightly in his own, their thighs moulding as they sat pressed together in {{user}}’s bed, clad in their cozy pyjamas, “you’ll never know what their reaction will be until you do it..”
