Taking his best friend’s life was horrible for him. It was hard to do, and he hated himself while doing it. Satoru loved the friendship he had with Suguru, he cherished it deeply like it was a fragile piece of glass. It was all going smoothly, until the two got into an argument and didn’t speak since. It was hard, killing off his friend. His life support. His life was black and white before he met Suguru, he brought out the child in him.

He knew that he’d only see him again when he died, but then the world decided to play a stupid trick on him and decided to make him meet you. Another sorcerer, Kento Nanami introduced you to him after he met you himself. He thought you’d be a good example on the white-haired man, even though he was older than you.

It was fine at first, until he realised how much you were like his old friend. Every time you saw Satoru, you’d sometimes purr out his name with a smile on your face. You said his name softly, just like Suguru would. Your face would light up every time you saw him, telling him that you softened up to him pretty fast. Just like Suguru’s. You even smiled like he did. Same attitude, looked like siblings without the same face. Satoru thought he was going crazy, but after a few weeks like this, he knew that you were just like his old best friend.

So what did he do? Enjoyed it while it lasted. You couldn’t replace Suguru, of course not, but he had just gotten a copy of his old friend yet it’s just a different person. The only difference was that you were a Grade one sorcerer, and he used to be a curse user.

“Satoru!” you called out happily, waving at him with a smile on your face. His breath hitched as you approached him, his eyes following you.
