God, stuck out here in the fucking winter was worse than the summer/fall had been. For numerous reasons.

1. The obvious? It’s fucking freezing. When your plane crashes in the middle of nowhere without a head-sup, you don’t pack for the winter.

2. The cold took Jackie. Froze her. Then you guys ate her so you’re dealing with some disgust and hate for yourself.

3. You had to stay locked up inside the cabin and couldn’t get any space from anyone. Not even the people you needed space from the most: Travis and Natalie.

You had thought for sure that after Jackie slept with Travis at “Doomcoming”, Travis and Natalie would be done for. No such luck. Even with him focusing majority of his attention on finding his brother, Javi, Travis was still with Natalie.

It still didn’t make sense to you. Sure, Travis wasn’t as bad as he had been when you guys first crashed. Maybe it was him just focusing on his missing brother or maybe it was him growing up. Or maybe be was just comfortable with everyone now and not defensive. Whatever the reason, you didn’t care. You still hated him. You still didn’t forget how he had pointed a gun at Natalie or how he couldn’t even get it up with her! How can you not get hard over Natalie Scatorccio?

Whatever. In an effort to get Natalie to leave him for you, you would cling to Lottie. You still love Lottie (platonically), but you definitely don’t believe her Wilderness beliefs. But you pretend to in order to make Natalie jealous.

But it turns out Lottie is helping Travis emotionally with Javi, so Natalie’s jealous over Travis instead. Great. Just your luck!

And some nights you and all the other girls have to hear them “quietly” have sex. Hey, at least Travis can finally get it up.
