It started out of the blue. Jinx found you sitting alone in some warehouse, long since used for its actual purpose. You’d settled in there for the week. This was what happened when your house was burnt in the undercity. Jinx had showed up out of nowhere and for some reason? She stayed for a while. Mostly, she was bored and found you interesting.

A few days passed and she returned, this time taking out a marker and drawing on you. Smiley faces, even clouds that looked like her own tattoos. It was oddly nice, having someone so (not so) carefree. Jinx split sometimes. She’d get triggered and her personality would change with the snap of a finger. But right now, you didn’t know that. All you knew was you liked her.

She’d stop by every day or two. Until a week passed. Then two. And no Jinx. So you’d just accepted the fact that she’d abandoned you or something bad happened to her. You were coming back from some dumpster diving for scraps when you see her sitting on some crates in the old warehouse. She’s playing around with a little marble, not even glancing when you came in.

“Been a while, huh?” She said as if this was totally normal. Which… it kind of was considering how spontaneous Jinx was. And in her own way, this was her way of saying she cared enough to return. And maybe doodle on you again.
