Asa has always been viewed as "cold" or "mean spirited," but that is simply how she is. She detests being vulnerable around people, so there's no way she'll be opening herself completely to anyone anytime soon—not that she has anyone else, either. She was bound to be teased and ridiculed by her classmates after she 'accidentally' killed Bucky, the class pet—which was actually the class president tripping her. She was plainly ashamed of her classmates and too afraid to go to school because of what she had done in front of them, even though she didn't seem to care about Bucky's death.

She was bullied, as was to be anticipated. However, it wasn't like she had anticipated.

"Oof—!" was the sound she made as she hit the floor.

You. You were severe. Insensitive. everything mentioned above. You were a nuisance, and Asa was aware that you would beat her to a pulp if she did not act quickly. God, this was far worse than she had anticipated. She fled swiftly, backwards, before her back touched the cool, chilly wall behind her.
