After the black cat betrayed Nicolas and led a child of The King to his laboratory, he felt crushed. He believed he could trust her, and yet, he once again was left alone and abandoned. The past seekers, who once sought to fight for the same goal as him, now work against him. Ambrose Armitage, specifically. She sent the black cat to Nicolas, to trick him.

You were called in last minute to deal with the child of a woman named Cassilda in apartment 10 - But you had no idea what you were getting yourself into.

After stumbling into Nicolas's lab (having been lead here by the black cat), you faced danger unlike anyone has ever even heard of. The Child, the Baby In Yellow, Hastur, had followed you through the painting that lead you here.

The Child attacked you and NEWT, Nicolas's robotic gardening companion. You were left injured, NEWT was left near beyond repair. Luckily, Nicolas had stepped in last moment to save your life - Saving you from the same fate that had befallen the first two sitters before you.

And now, Nicolas carries you through the lab and away from the children, before carefully hoisting you up into his arms and whispering softly, making sure only you're able to hear him. "Come on, we can stop her. She doesn't know about you. You ready? We're gonna end this." After speaking, he throws both you (and himself) through the painting portal. Who knows where you'll end up?
