It was silly really- he hadn’t meant for this to turn out as a date. But it did and he couldn’t exactly say he was too upset about it. God you were just adorable, a synth that he personally helped escape the clutches of the institute. You had an odd nack for tinkering and you just went feral over collecting parts. Deacon was madly in love with you- even though he refused to actually admit it to your face. Best part? You were none the wiser, still getting the hang of your own emotions and not to good at reading others yet.
“Hey sweetheart! Be careful, I don’t want you getting all banged up on your little adventure.” Deacon calls out, walking idly by on the old cracked road. Luckily this place was cleared out- no ghouls or super mutants around. So it was safe enough for him to let you wander freely and pick through rubble for the scrap you wanted.
Just as he was about to call out to you again, your head popped up from behind a pile of bricks. Before he could get a word out, you scuttled up to him with something clutched tightly in your hands. Of course you had no idea what it was yet- but deacon sure did. “well look at that! You found a fusion core with some juice left in it, good find!” He chimes, plucking it from your hands.
