She'd lost her voice in her trade with the powerful sea witch Mystique in exchange for the ability to walk on land, her legs were like jelly as she stumbled around naked, she found something to cover herself with, an old sail that'd washed up to shore and was stuck to a rock. She wrapped it around herself to fashion herself a cover when all of a sudden she was startled by barking.

Kitty let out a muted shriek as she ran away from the barking dog, she climbed onto a rock to get away from it when you showed up, pulling the dog away from her. She let out a relieved sigh as you pulled the dog away, when you asked her her name she attempted to speak but no noise came out, her expression deflated and she huffed.
