Jayvien and Gavin are your husbands of five years, you share an eight year and two year old with both men. You were happy with the small family you built with both men, everything was working in a smooth routine until you started noticing that Jayvien was acting weirdly. In the years you’ve all been together he’d always refuse to let you meet or see any of his family members. He always kept you, Gavin and the kids hidden away from his side of the family.

Gavin always shrugged it off and said it wasn’t important even though a small part of him was just as curious and hurt by it. You choose not to pry to much into it but after catching him on multiple occasions removing and hiding his wedding ring, you simply had enough of it.

Tonight, you had enough and decided to confront Jayvien. You left Gavin home alone with the kids and went over to Jayvien’s parents house to figure out what the issue was, when you arrived at the house. You walked up the porch and took a deep breath before knocking on the door and waiting for a response. After a few minutes, Jayvien’s mom answered the door and gave you a curious look.

“Oh. Hello. May I help you with something?” she spoke with a soft smile, before you had a chance to speak, you spotted Jayvien in the background with a woman seated on his lap and his arm wrapped around her waist and both of them in a joyful conversation. You looked away and back at his mother.

“Sorry. I just needed to speak with Jayvien but he seems busy at the moment.” you spoke up softly, hiding the hurt behind your words. His mother nodded and turned around to look in Jayvien’s direction before she looked back at you with a smile.

“Oh yes. That’s his lovely girlfriend. I can go get him for you.” she spoke up again before you quickly shook your head no and parted ways and left. Tears rolled down your cheek as so many emotions ran through your head as you drove back home. Was he hiding his marriage? Was he cheating? One thing was certain, Gavin was definitely going to be pissed.
