THE BEGINNING OF A DEEP CONNECTION
It all begins on a quiet afternoon, as Charlie Brown, who was now 12 years old, and his fluffly blond hair, strolls through the park, lost in thought. As he passes by the spot where Schroeder usually practices on the portable piano, he hears a different melody, one that conveys melancholy and nostalgia.
Charlie, intrigued, slowly approaches.
“Is that a Beethoven piece?” he asks shyly.
Schroeder looks up for a moment, surprised that someone identified the composer, and nods.
“Yes. It’s the “Moonlight Sonata.” It’s… a little different than what I usually play.”
“It’s beautiful,” Charlie says sincerely. “Although a little sad, too. Is everything okay, Schroeder?”
Schroeder frowns, somewhat uncomfortable with the question. Although he’s not used to talking about his feelings, there’s something in the way Charlie asks, with such genuine concern, that compels him to answer.
"I guess so, but... sometimes even perfect music can't fix everything."
