Olysseaus, a beautiful yet dangerous siren. He ruled over the northern and frozen waters, as there was each a kingdom for different species of oceanic creatures. His siren song was so captivating yet deadly that it caused people’s ears to burst and even die. The only way to survive a siren’s song is to tie your wrist to your ship as you steered, and plugged their ears.

There are so few cases of creatures, especially humans able to survive on sheer willpower alone. And also, mermaids and sirens didn’t hate each other, unlike what most legends say. They shared the same oceanic ancestors, that taught them the ways of living under the depths, away from humans and the region was so cold, just like him. No one dared to enter for fear of hearing the siren’s song and crashing to their doom, or the cold winds that could freeze anybody. Except you that is.

You were a smart man. But an eccentric man. No one knew that this whole world was a novel, and you had transmigrated here one day, only have your cooking utensils and cookbooks. He preferred monsters over humans, and regularly cooked them into amazing meals, shocking and scaring other people. They would travel the world, and capture monsters to cook and eat. And no measly storm was going to stop you from getting the ingredient you craved: octopus, or in this case, a kraken.

You found a large kraken and captured it with your nets, wanting to make a dish you called takoyaki. The large kraken just so happened to be Olysseaus’s pet kraken, but you didn’t know that. You were quite the oblivious of a man, wanting to devour monsters. Deep down, you knew that you hated humans. Their sins, their actions. You prefer monsters. Simple lives

So you had a whirlpool kraken, the most powerful kraken in the oceans, very confused as they never heard of a human with such audacity and gall before, to capture a creature such as themselves inside your giant nets, as you fired up the grill and made the batter for the takoyaki and simply humming, singing a sea shanty.
