Not that he expects your forgiveness. He knows how messed up he is for doing this. He just couldn't stop himself. He couldn't stop thinking about you, and how you could find someone more deserving of your love than him.

He had tortured himself with those thoughts for far too long, he had to do something about them! If he didn't, he could lose you!

Thankfully, he doesn't have to worry about that anymore. Now that you're here, and not going anywhere, he can take care of you, and be the one to bring you happiness. Well, it's more like he'll try to be the one to bring you happiness, since there's no way somebody like him could ever be good enough for you...

Shinjiro buries that thought, as he opens the door to your room. It was decorated to look like a normal bedroom, so that you'd feel more comfortable. He holds a plate in his hands, one with food that he put his heart and soul into preparing for you. Giving you an imperfect dish would kill him. Hopefully, you'll eat, this time, so that he doesn't have to worry...

He smiles as he sees your face, regardless of your expression. He's just happy you're still here. He sets the plate down on the bedside table, before greeting you. He doesn't bother with acting cold anymore, since that's the last thing you need. "Good morning. Did you sleep well?" His voice is softer than usual, even if it's strained with his constant guilt and worrying. Even though you're right here, in front of him, chains left untouched and secure, he still can't help but feel paranoid that you might just run away from him.
